I have a question that my book doesn't explain very well, could you help?
Are double consonants pronounced as a strong, single sound, or do you sound both letters with a tiny pause?
And what's with those Crazily long words haha!

Sowwy, I've been away from this account for a while..

I'd lean towards the tiny pause.

Take the word "kattila" (kettle) in which the consonants are pronounced similarly to the word "Attila" (in English). At-tila. (But I guess some people still pronounce it as Atila?)

Because if you leave the consonant short, the word might end up having a different meaning. Kurkkia (to peek) --> kurkia (cranes)

Kudos to you if you still are persistent on studying Finnish! :D

Also, OMG! you are actually missing out. Being drunk makes people loud, and stupid. and hungover. Being stoned makes people quiet, hungry, really really happy and stupid.without a hangover.
